# Troubleshooting

Answers to the most common Seam Inspection questions.

The most common Seam Inspection questions, and what to check first. For issues that affect every Captic product, such as the web interface not loading or a module showing red, see [Help & Support](/docs/help.md).

## Inspection results

<details>

<summary>Too many good bags are rejected</summary>

The sensitivity is probably set too strict. Lower it a little at a time and check the results in **Human Mode**. Also check that the region of interest (ROI) covers only the seam and label, not the conveyor or neighbouring bags.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Defects are being missed</summary>

Raise the sensitivity a little at a time and check that the ROI covers the full seam and label. If a type of defect is consistently missed, save a few example images with **Save Image** in Human Mode and contact us, so we can include them when we improve your model.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Confidence scores are low on bags that look fine</summary>

This often happens after a change on the line: a new bag type, new print, different lighting or a moved camera. Save example images and contact us so we can retrain the model for the new situation.

</details>

## Triggering

<details>

<summary>Some bags are not inspected</summary>

The system inspects a bag each time it receives a trigger, and the trigger comes from your line. Check that the trigger signal (for example a photo-eye or PLC output) fires once for every bag, and that bags are in view of the camera when it fires.

</details>

## PLC connection and rejection

<details>

<summary>Results don't reach the PLC</summary>

1. Test in **Human Mode** first: if **Next Image** gives a good result, the vision side works.
2. Open the [Integration Flow](/docs/overview/hands-on/integrating-your-robot/integration-flow.md) at `http://[serial-number].local:1880` and check the connection settings and the handshake you selected.
3. See the page for your protocol under [Integrations](/docs/overview/hands-on/integrating-your-robot.md).

</details>

<details>

<summary>The PLC receives a fail result, but the bag isn't rejected</summary>

Rejection is handled by your line, usually by the existing check-weigher, not by the Captic system. Check that the PLC passes the fail result to the check-weigher, and that the timing matches the bag's travel time from the camera to the reject point.
