# Cloud software

The software that runs in Captic's cloud.

Captic's cloud runs on Microsoft Azure. It connects to the devices on your site to:

* **Store your data.** Images and results are encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). See [Data Lifecycle](/docs/overview/good-to-know/data-lifecycle.md).
* **Improve your AI models.** Collected data is used to retrain your models, and improved versions are deployed to your devices. See [ML Lifecycle](/docs/overview/good-to-know/ml-lifecycle.md).
* **Show you your data.** Browse images, results and production insights in [Captic Cloud](/docs/overview/hands-on/user-interfaces.md#captic-cloud) at [cloud.captic.com](https://cloud.captic.com).

Access to Captic Cloud is on request: email <support@captic.com> with the email addresses of everyone who needs access, and we'll add them. Access is secured with Microsoft accounts (Azure AD), including multi-factor authentication.
