# Remote Access

How Captic supports your devices remotely.

Remote access lets the Captic team change device settings, such as camera exposure, and investigate issues without a site visit.

## Teleport (default)

Every device comes with **Teleport** pre-installed for secure remote access. It connects outbound to `captic-com.teleport.sh` over port 443, so no inbound ports need to be opened.

## Your own remote access tool

Prefer your own solution, for example a Citrix portal with a jump host, BeyondTrust or FortiClient? We can remove Teleport and work through your tool instead. See [Network Security, tier 4](/docs/overview/good-to-know/security/security.md#tier-4-without-teleport).
